The Nikon D3300 is like most other Nikon models these days. This camera is 24 megapixels. Nikon did decide to remove the optical low-pass filter on the camera which will give you a little bit sharper results for certain things. If you’re shooting landscapes or if you want a lot of detail and portraits and things like that the camera is going to produce a little bit sharper results by not having the optical low-pass filter. This is something that started with the D7100. Recently Nikon is also doing the same thing with the D5300.GET Nikon D3300 at the best price in Kenya from Javytech Technologies.

This camera also features Nikon’s new X speed 4 image processor. You have a lot of the newer capabilities. Nikon D3300 does shoot faster than the Nikon D3200 and it shoots at 5 frames a second. This is something that you used to have to go up to the 5000 series DSLRs to get. For this it has a bit more speed than what we’ve had in this range of camera in the past.

The XP 4 processor also brings about a little bit higher ISO capability. Nikon D3300 goes up to 25600 ISO. You’re not going to ever be shooting it an ISO, this is a bit high. However it is important to note that if Nikon D3200 is compared with the Nikon B3300, for this camera you will see less noise in photos when shot at the same ISO.

Nikon D3300 also shoots video at 60 frames a second in 1080p. In the past you had to drop down to 720p if you wanted to shoot 60 frames a second. Nikon released this camera with a new 18 and 55 VR 2 lens and this lens is a lot more compact than the previous 18 and 55.

When you get this camera, you will notice the package is small size. We’re living in a world where basically the smartphones have started to completely replace small compact point-and-shoot cameras. A lot of people that are going to be going to this are going to be looking for better image quality than what they get out of their smartphone.

Camera manufacturers make their entry-level DSLR very very large so having a camera like the Nikon D3300 which is much smaller makes a lot of sense. This camera also has the 1855 VR 2 lens that it comes with. This kind of lens is a lot more compact in the previous version just like the Nikon 1 series cameras. It has the ability to collapse whenever it’s not in use. Just like on those 1/2 lenses you just press the button and the K ending lens extends out and it’s ready to use. It is a kit lens of course so do not expect world-changing performance out of it but it is nice that Nikon decided to update the lands and make it a bit smaller in the process to go with the new smaller bodies.

The display is laid out pretty much exactly like on the D5300 and the D5200. It has graphical representations for not only the f-stop but also the ISO and the shutter speed. For beginners this is going to be something that’s very very good because it gives you a nice quick graphical representation.

This camera does have an HDR mode which may take a little while to find it. It’s not like the more advanced HDR mode found on some of the higher end cameras. On this camera it’s actually found under the effects menu. Once you are in effects menu like on other Nikon bodies it just give a back dial Aurel. There’s a lot of other settings in here that are familiar with from previous Nikon bodies. But as you keep scrolling you will now find a new mode called HDR painting.

The HDR mode is not really very advanced. There’s also a easy panorama mode on this camera. If you’re familiar with Sony cameras, the thang-thang sweep panorama works very similar to this feature.

There is no Wi-Fi built into this one but you do have the option of using Nikon’s WU1A wireless adapter.

It has ability to shoot video in 1080p at 60 frames a second. If you’re going to be doing any type of action video or anything will do well. The full 1080 resolution is also very good and has the ability to shoot video in manual. In this mode you have the ability to be able to manually set your audio levels.

Nikon D3300 has slightly a higher ISO than the previous models. Instead of 12800 it can now go to 25000. Even if you’re not going to be shooting it that high ISO but you will see a slight improvement on this camera.

Generally Nikon D3300 is a very good camera. On the camera are the remote jack, microphone jack and analog outputs. It has USB and HDMI.

The new battery will give you 200 shots more per charge than on the previous D3200.
