HP EliteBook 820 G4 Core i7 is newest laptop in the 820 series. This laptop is really portable weighing only 2.78 pounds or 1.26 kilograms. Over to the ports it got the smart card reader, USB 3.1 generation 1, VGA for beamers screens, fun output and Kensington lock. There is nothing on the back. On the other side it has the power, LTE connector, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.1 again generation 1, headphone and microphone combo jack display port and USB 3.1 type C.
If you open the screen you will see the keyboard is a really nice keyboard which doesn’t have much flex on it. It’s really good typing on it. There is a touchpad and a smaller side touchpad which got a fingerprint scanner. On top of the screen is a HD webcam which has two microphones next to it where one is meant for noise reduction.
The power button is well placed and when you press it, you will see that the screen is pretty good. It has really nice colors. It is a vibrant screen and has good viewing angles even when you pull all the way down you can really see what is on the screen. HP EliteBook 820 G4 Core i7 has an Full HD monitor and it’s a 12.5 inch full HD and t is very crisp.
Over to the main specifications this model has a 5 7200U processor clocked on 2.5 gigahertz. It has 8 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM and it has the ins LHD 620 graphics card. If you try a little bit of gaming on this graphics card with Counter Strike Global Offensive, it’s an absolute no-go even on the lowest settings. On 1366 by 768 you only get 30 to 40 fps. So it’s a bummer but can do much about it as the 7th generation processor. Note HP EliteBook 820 G4 Core i7 is very fast.
This model of HP EliteBook 820 G4 Core i7 has a 256 gigabytes M2 NVME SSD from Samsung. This means it’s a pretty fast and happens to be another fastest laptop on the market. Overall the HP EliteBook 820 G4 Core i7 is very fast for typing and has a backlit keyboard and the depth up overall is much sturdy.
If you wanted to open this laptop up you’ve got to remove the screws all the way around and it’s not too much effort. You can change the RAM pretty easily or change the SSD. You can put in a 2.5 inch hard drive for extra storage but it will cost you the M2 SSD because you can put in both the M2 slot goes right over the 2.5 inch slots.
