The HP Elitebook 840 G3 comes loaded with a number of ports and slots. It got the side vent the display or monitor slot, 4 USB ports, an SD card reader slot, power and Wi-Fi or the internet plug in. It also got a SIM card slot and the headphone jack.
Opening up the lid, you will find the fingerprint sensor, a touchpad Mouse and the keyboard. It is also loaded with a wireless button and mute button. The sound volume, brightness and LED lights for the keyboard and night mode are well laid out.
HP Elitebook 840 G3 has a resolution of 6300 by 700 which is pretty bad. The best thing about such a screen is that it does not consume much power. The CPU is a core i5 6200U with only 4 gigabytes and GPU is 520 Intel. It runs on a 500 GB SSD though it can be extended.
HP Elitebook 840 G3 is not a gaming machine. The screen resolution and its processor limits the kind of games that can be played. For a better experience one may be opted to use low quality low setting where most games need a minimum 260 GTX.
Into its internals, there is the M2 somewhere under the keyboard and then also on the bottom by the battery is actually a SATA connection. One can install a SATA hard drive or the SSD. There is one expansion slot and two dims for the memory. It is recommended to do an upgrade with more than 4 GB of RAM for a better experience. Please note the charging cable of the HP Elitebook 840 G3 is not that long.
