The HP ProBook 430 G4 now comes surrounded by an aluminium style plastic. One thing that you will notice is the integration of the left and right mouse buttons into the trackpad. They no longer do they sit on the outside of the mousepad. You can buy the HP ProBook 430 G4 with different device configurations. The most notable upgrade here is the inclusion of 128 gigabyte M2 solder drive.
Once again HP have opted for no-frills plain; cardboard box packaging and the only labeling on the outside of the box is the specifications. From the box documentation, setup instructions and power cord plugs. The back pof the lid of the HP ProBook 430 G4 is the HP logo surrounded with an aluminium style plastic. It does look very similar to something like the Apple Macbook Pro. They’ve done a really good job at making the color of the plastic very similar color to a MacBook Pro. If you touch the plastic you don’t leave any fingerprints on the outside of the laptop.
On the front of the laptop are four screws and the edges are quite well rounded. At the right hand side it got a power plug with a little power plug light beside it, gigabye ethernet adapter, VGA port, HDMI, a USB 3 port and a USB C port. Towards the left hand side is the security cable port which allows us to lock the laptop down, a grille which allows the fan to exhaust hot air out of the laptop, USB 3 port, audio microphone combo jack and an SD card reader. The hinges feel very nice and smooth.
Its battery is actually integrated into the laptop such that if you wanted to take the battery out you would have to take out all these screws around the bottom of the laptop and lift that off and take the battery out. The big trend these days is to actually keep the battery within the unit itself and if there’s any faulty battery you would need to actually send it back to HP or the manufacturer to get the device fixed.
Its screen is a 13.3 HD SVA anti-glare LED screen and along the top is a little pinhole which is one microphone then the webcam. A webcam light lights up when the webcam is in use and then on the other side it got another microphone pin port.
The keyboard is also really nice and the buttons are pretty standard though they make a little bit of noise when you tap them. They are nice to type on and they’re fairly responsive. The mouse pad has no buttons. HP ProBook 430 G4 also got a fingerprint scanner such that if you swipe down you can put a password on your Windows and you can login to Windows just by swiping your fingerprint downwards.
There is a sticker that indicated the machine is a core i5 7200U 7th generation Intel CPU and it runs at 2.7 gigahertz and turbos up to 3.5 gigahertz. The video card on the inside of the laptop is the Intel HD 260. You would use this laptop if you’re looking for something that’s good for word processing, web browsing and probably some light gaming.
