iPhone 7 Plus 32GB

The latest 2016 iPhones are the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The box of the iPhone 7 Plus is pretty similar to that of the iPhone 7 itself. This is by having an image of the back of the phone unlike before with the iPhone 6 and 6s which actually featured an image of the front of the phone. Interesting enough there’s no iPhone 7 Plus branding on the sides we only get iPhone. This applies to both the iPhone 7 box and iPhone 7 Plus. On the back of the box it got the capacity which may be 32 gigabytes, 128 gigabytes and 256 gigabytes. We also get a listing of what’s included inside. The iPhone 7 Plus ear pods with a lightning connector and more.

Previously you actually had to cut a plastic foil but now you don’t have to do that anymore. This is because we finally have a seal now after so many generations of iPhones. You just lift the plastic foil up to remove it and it easily comes off. Lifting up the top the first thing that you will get inside the box is a booklet designed by Apple in California. The iPhone is not on top anymore. We get quite a few things so the first one is the Quick Start Guide which has not been redesigned. This one tells you the position of the buttons, how to use three touch and also tells you to download a tips app if you want to learn more about how to use your iPhone.

Besides this we also get a SIM eject tool which also comes in a new redesign booklet. It aslo got a warranty and safety guide the same as on the iPhone 7. It says that water damage is not covered by the warranty. Also are the Apple stickers. Unfortunately these are silver and the ones that come with a black iPhone are all silver and are not color matched. They come with a new transparent paper which he as a fingerprint magnets as well. Next from the box is the iPhone 7 Plus itself. It feels really heavy though it is actually lighter than the iPhone 6s Plus. It definitely may feel for some who are used to iPhone 6s.

The first actual accessory that we get inside is a power outlet, the power adapter. For the UK model you basically just plug the USB cable in and that’s how you charge your iPhone. Even though this is an iPhone 7 Plus, this is still a slow 1m charger. The charger that comes with the iPad charges the iPhone 7 Plus much quicker in just one hour and 40 minutes. Its charger can take up to three hours to fully charge. Next is a tiny case which is made out of cardboard and inside that we basically get new things. The first one are the new lightning ear pods as well headphones and the cable is much thinner than on the previous models. It’s also much more flexible and compared to the previous mountain lightning models these ones definitely feel cheaper in the hands. There are no ear pods case included this time. Also inside that cardboard case the second thing that we get is the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack to lightning adapter. This is what you would use to connect any non lightning headphones. The last thing inside the box is the lightning to USB cable. This is the one that you use to both sync and charge your iPhone.

Setting up the fingerprint appears to be much quicker than on the iPhone 6s. Both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus actually takes less than 10 seconds to set up. This is pretty major improvement from what we had before. For the iPhone 7 and 7 plus you can also customize the home button so the home button is not clickable anymore. There’s a neat taptic engine beneath it which vibrates and gives you the impression when you actually click the home button. You can customize this with three different levels of pressure. First you can barely feel it, choose the only better and level three is the one that’s closest to actually pressing the home button and yet this will take some time getting used to.

The iPhone 7 Plus is a huge phone. This is a massive phone. Design-wise it looks almost identical to the iPhone 6s Plus. We do get dual camera module on the back and that’s actually the biggest change. For now you have two lenses, one of them is a telephoto lens and the other one is a wide-angle lens. You basically have optical zoom on the iPhone 7 plus without losing any quality. For the telephoto lens on the iPhone 7 Plus, the quality is much lower than the wide-angle lens. When you zoom in 2X the pictures will be much worse than if you were using the wide-angle lens. You can also switch between cameras and 4k video and this looks awesome. Also you can even do this when recording 4k video being able to zoom in 2X without losing any quality.

The headphone jack is now gone but the design is at least much more uniform now and the antenna lines on the back are also gone. Both on the iPhone 7 and the 7 plus we now have dual stereo speakers. However it seems like they’re lacking any bass. The volume, the loudness is definitely there but the bass is not.

The iPhone 7 Plus has a DCI P3 display which means that contrast is much better than on the iPhone 6 and 6s. Also the blacks are much deeper now and you can definitely tell the difference between an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 7 display. However the difference is not that major. It’s mostly when it comes to black. The contrast difference is not that much.
