Description

LG G3 is one of the best Android flagship phone from LG. It is the successor to the LG G2 which was really nice but it had its flaws. This new phone here is out to compete with the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One. The LG G3 has one of the highest phone’s display at 2560 by 1440 and more than 530 pixels per inch.

It is a very handsome phone. It is made up of plastic but with the brush metal it looks well  finished. The phone almost fakes the metal design though this is meant to make it much lighter. It has a curved back that fits in your hand pretty nicely. Because of the back button placement you actually get to hold the phone just a little bit differently than other phones. All in all it is actually super quick and easy to get used to. It seems weird at first but it’s actually really intuitive after just a couple of hours of using the phone.

The back buttons here are also shortcuts. When the screen is asleep, holding the volume button up will quickly open your Notes app. Holding the volume button down will quickly open your camera app from asleep. Button placement keeps the phone profile and the bezels realy thin.

LG G3 is a big phone with a 5.5 inch display but with the thin bezels. It is still the one of the most high-end phones with a 5.0 plus display. The sharpness and resolution is much more than a 1080p display or even an iPhone with its sub 720p display. Even if the colors are a little bit off, the contrast ratio is somehow great.

Around the back it got a removable back that reveal a 3000 milliamp hour battery and a micro SD card slot. This is for those who want to expand storage. You will get impressed by the battery life. It is actually excellent. Some thought that the pixels would alter with the battery duration but it turns to be nil. The battery’s performance is good despite all the high resolution. It can give you more than four hours and a half on screen on usage.

The camera of LG G3 comes sporting with pretty unique features. The software that LG threw in here is simple. It has a really simplified UI with no real fine-tuning controls. There are no any manual modes but it is outfitted with some neat modes where you can change the resolution. You can also change the size of the videos you’re taking up to 4K and turn stabilization on and off. A dope thing it got a magic focus mode and gesture selfie which lets you just make a fist and take the selfie. Its auto focus actually fires a laser at the thing you’re taking a picture of and then reflects it back and is able to tell exactly how far away the subject is, focus the camera and take the picture. All happens extremely quickly.

With the high resolution, everything just runs exactly the same. Playing games is just flowing and the opening and closing apps is great.

The UI has the LG skin on top of Android 4.4 KitKat and both perform really well. The design is definitely better than the skin that was in the LG G2. You can only really see maybe two sometimes three notifications at once before you have to scroll down just because of how much stuff is going on in the notification bar. The Settings app is still not pretty good.

For multitasking it’s smart and makes a lot of sense. The pinch-to-zoom to be able to see more or less apps at the same time as smart.

The LG keyboard is really nice. If you go into the keyboard settings you can pick exactly how tall you want it to be. It easy to use and well spacious with a number pad available at top all the time. LG also enhanced clipboard feature that is so smart. It allows you to copy a multiple of things or screenshots. Once pasting it will ask you which item or text to be pasted.
The back speaker is just amplified and special. It is quite loud though with nice output.

LG G3 is totally one of the best flagship and performance device of 2014. From its well crafted make to the igh resolution display.
