The Nokia 8110 LTE phone is the retro phone from the old. It is a reboot of the classic Nokia Nokia 8110 phone which Nokia announced back in 1996. The rebbot is here and it doesn’t actually look that much similar to the original model. They have changed a lot of things and it’s called as the banana phone as of its shape.
It has a nice packaging with a Facebook logo. Some main specifications are on the back of the box. It does come with its own store where you can download your games and application. It has 2 megapixel camera with LED flash. Nokia 8110 LTE comes pre-loaded and Qualcomm 205 mobile platform chipset. It sports a nano SIM card and it does have a micro SD card slot as well for storage expansion up to 32 gigabytes. It got FM radio and it requires headset which means this phone has a headphone jack.
From the box is a Quick Start Guide that tells you how to insert SIM card. There is a baby charger and the rest of the packaging includes the battery normal 3.5 mm headphones.
Nokia 8110 LTE fits really nicely in hand. If you are used to using the iPhone X or the Galaxy S9 Plus, holding something like this feels really different. It has a plastic body and a curve which gives it a dope look. It also got an iconic sliding keyboard. The back of the Nokia 8110 LTE has a Nokia logo, speaker, camera, LED flash and a removable back. They are positioned vertically one by one. At the bottom is a microphone and the top right is a power button. On top we have the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack as well as the charging port.
Opening the phone up is really easy and you can do it from the very bottom of the phone. It got a battery of 1500 mAh which is placed on the back. It is powered by KaiOS it meaning it has has its own software not Android. It takes almost the same time as the iPhone X to boot.
The UI looks like Android having 2.15 gigabyte of storage for the internal memory. It also has a power saving mode though it is not a touch screen. The rubber keys on keyboard are really good and feels a lot solid when you are typing. When you slide the cover one back in it actually turns off. It’s much like the way to lock and unlock your phone.
The original Nokia Nokia 8110 had the antenna outside of the body while this one has it inside. So you don’t see anything sticking out from the top instead you see the headphone jack and the charging port.
The display on this phone is bright having a 2.4 inch LCD. It’s like a monochrome LCD that’s what they call it. You won’t be missing that AMOLED display that Samsung makes because this one looks so much better.
Actually you can connect to WiFi and navigate to YouTube. it also has the snake game from Gameloft though they chaged how it looks like.
The camera on this phone is a 2 megapixel camera with that LED flash.
