Description

The Sony Cyber Shot DSC H300 is a great camera if you’re getting into a photography but it’s not so good if you want to use it for making videos. This camera is more portable than DSLR but takes lower quality pictures. Additionally bridge cameras do not have interchangeable lens so you’re stuck with what’s built in. Usually bridge cameras have a great zoom capabilities which Sony Cyber Shot DSC H300 has. It very high-resolution images at 20.1 megapixels.

Image quality is heavily dependent on camera sensor size as well. The Sony Cyber Shot DCS H300 has a 1 over 2.3 inch sensor which is a small firm sensor that measures about 6.17 by 4.55 millimeter. This allows the camera to be portable but won’t be able to compete in image quality against cameras with larger sensors. The ISO of a camera indicates it’s sensor sensitivity to the light. High ISOs allow photographers to take low quality pictures without having to set long exposures. The downside to using high ISOs is that it produce noise or graininess in the image.

Sony Cyber Shot DSC H300 has a maximum ISO of 3200 which is about average for a bridge camera. A camera’s shutter speed determines how short or long exposures can be. While people usually assume extremely fast shutter speeds are better. There still has to be enough light to get a fully exposed image.

The Sony Cyber Shot DCS H300 is slower than average one per 1,500 seconds. Maximum shutter speed still works for moving subjects but make very fast objects appear blurry.

It records videos up to 720p resolution. 1280 by 720 is low but HD video is still a good quality without taking up as much memory as higher resolutions like 1080p or 4k. It is not recommended for videography especially if you’re shooting in low light but it does record decent videos where there is enough light.

Sony Cyber Shot DSC H300 has a fixed lens which is built into the camera and cannot be switched out and has both optical zoom and digital zoom capabilities. It has optical zoom of 35X. Optical zoom results are more clear picture as it uses physical lens parts to magnify a subject. The 35X zoom is great for long-range shots. This makes it a good choice for people who need zoom capabilities but don’t want to lug around larger models with zoom lenses.

It supports a Memory Stick Micro M2, micro SD and SD memory cards.
